Interestingly, we all spend most of our time thinking about the past (which we can’t change) and the future (which we can’t predict).
Especially constantly worrying about what may or may not happen in the future can lead to stress, anxiety, and overwhelming feelings.
Instead of living in the present moment, we tend to think about the future: “If only…this happens, then I would be happy”.
- If only I could have more than 24 hours a day…
- If only I were younger…
- If only I were more fit…
- If only I had more space to myself…
- If only I had more money…
- If only I could find the perfect partner…
- If only I would love my job…
- If only I would live in another city…
- If only I am more rested…
- If only I had more time for meditation…
…then I would be HAPPY.
However, if you are living in the “Only if land,” you are missing life.
The present moment is not just a time frame; it’s a powerful tool. It’s the only time you can create, change, solve, re-think, do, and feel. It’s where your power lies, in the NOW.
It’s crucial to recognize that this moment, the one you’re experiencing right now, is the only time that truly matters.
And in this moment.
And in this moment.
I love Ram Dass’s quote, “I’d rather be here now” because it’s a profound truth. The present moment is the only time we truly control our lives. It’s where our power, our enlightenment, lies. NOW.
When working with leaders, my main mission is to bring them to the NOW and into their BEING. They are masters in DOING, but often, they forget how powerful it is to create from inner peace instead of hustling and stress.
One question for the Weekend
Take a deep breath and ask yourself: “What is here for me right NOW?”
I am curious to know.
Love
